  • The Netherlands made their World Cup debut, but it wasn’t a celebration as they went down to Bangladesh by 6 wickets. (scores below)
  • Meanwhile at Old Trafford, a record crowd of 18,814 turned up to watch India play Pakistan. The crowd is the highest attendance for a group stage match at a T20 World Cup. The Indian fans were the happier with India winning by 70 runs. (scores below)
  • Deepti Sharma‘s 5-10 puts her back at the top of all time wicket takers in Women’s T20 Internationals with 166, nudging aside Thailand’s Thipatcha Putthawong (162). That haul of 5-10 is her best. Her previous best was 5-19 against South Africa in April.
