Born on August 24th 1997 in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is current Test, ODI and T20 International player for India, Deepti Bhagwan Sharma.
The left-hand batter and right-arm off-break bowler made her debut against South Africa in November 2014 at the age of just 17, charged with the responsibility of batting at number three. She was runout for 1 run but took wickets with her bowling, including SA captain Mignon du Preez. Sixty matches later this young player has become one of the leading allrounders in world cricket.
In ODIs Deepti has a top score of 188 which happens to be the third highest of all time behind Amelia Kerr (232*) and Belinda Clark (229*). She is currently eight on the list of all time run scorers for India. With the ball she has a best of 6-20 against Sri Lanka at Ranchi in 2016.
Also a dynamic allrounder in T20 Internationals, Deepti is more successful with ball than bat. Her off-breaks have taken 67 wickets at 21.13 with a best of 4-10. Notably she is the complete allrounder having taken 25 catches.
Two Test matches on her resume, one against England in July 2021 and one against Australia in October 2021. Against England Deepti scored a fighting half century in her debut and took 3-65.
