Like so many nations, Chile gained T20 International status from the ICC in April 2018 and all matches post July 1 of that year have been recognised as such. Chile’s first match under this new system was against Brazil in August 2018.
The South American team is currently ranked 47th in the ICC rankings but has been as high as 43rd.
