Born 17th July 2004, T20 International player for Rwanda, Belyse Murekatete.
A right hand batter and right-arm medium fast bowler, Belyse made her international debut for Rwanda in the 2021 edition of the Kwibuka tournament at age sixteen and immediately impressed with the ball taking 2-6 from two overs.
While Belyse is a constant with the new ball, appearances with the bat for the senior team have been limited, but in the Under Nineteen World Cup in January 2023 the youngster showed great promise batting up the order and it feels apparent that this player will become an important allrounder for Rwanda in the years ahead.
With 70 T20 Internationals already under her belt, Belise has taken 52 wickets at 14.46 with a strike rate of 19.00 and an economy of just 4.56. Her best figures are 4-17 against Sierra Leone at Lagos in March 2023. Her top score with the bat is 28.
