Nicola Payne

Born on 10th September 1969 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is former ODI player for the Netherlands and New Zealand, Nicola Payne.

Born in Canada, Nicola grew up in the Netherlands and it is with that team that she made her international debut at the 1988 World Cup in Australia. It was the first of three World Cups Nicola would play for the Netherlands, adding 1993 and 1997 to her resume.

A right hand batter and medium pace bowler, Nicola would go on to play 37 ODIs for the Netherlands in a period from 1988 to 1998, scoring 631 runs with a best of 73 not out against Denmark in 1997. She took 19 wickets at 20.26 with a best of 3-20.

In 2000, Nicola’s second ODI career began, this time with New Zealand and she would add one more World Cup appearance to her name. In 28 matches for the White Ferns Nicola scored 547 runs with a top score of 93 against India in 2003. Four World Cup appearances, two international teams and a total of 65 international matches. She also played for Qeensland and Canterbury in domestic cricket.
