Mai Yanagida

Born on 1st December 1992 in Kanagawa, T20 International player and captain of Japan, Mai Yanagida.

A right hand batter and right arm off-break bowler, Mai made her international debut against Indonesia at Port Vila at the regional Qualifiers and it was indeed the debut of the entire Japanese team in T20 Internationals. Mai was skipper that day and has been in the role ever since.

Mai has played 54 T20 Internationals with 700 runs and a high score of 67 not out, scored against Indonesia on 15 Sep 2025, at Albert Park, Suva. It is one of three half centuries scored by the skipper. She has 27 wickets with a best of 4-8 against Singapore on 6th Oct 2024 at Sano International Cricket Ground.
