Women’s Cricket Daily – 25 June 2026

Welcome to today’s women’s international cricket update featuring overnight results, today’s matches, breaking news and a look back through history.

News in brief

  • Action continues in the World Cup as we speak. England have posted 186/7 in their key match against West Indies. Both teams are undefeated to this point in Pool B. A win for either side means a spot in the semis is theirs. Update: England win by 38 runs.
  • Pool B Ladder update: England have secured a spot in the semi finals. They now have 8 points. West Indies are in second place with 6 – with a match in hand against Ireland. For New Zealand to make it they must inflict a heavy defeat on England in their last match. Similarly, Sri Lank would need to do the same, if not more so, to Scotland in their final game.
  • Two important matches as far as the semi finals go later today in Pool A. India and Bangladesh are both on 4 points, along with South Africa. India and Bangladesh face off at Bristol – both teams will know it’s do or die here. Whoever wins stays alive, the loser is almost certainly out of contention.
  • For South Africa, their key goal today will be improving their NRR match in a match they should when against the Netherlands. These two matches will go a long way in terms of telling us what will happen in Pool B.
  • Player of the Tournament page heats up. Darcey Carter‘s 72* takes her to 174 runs, leading run scorer so far and that innings catapulted her to 199 points equal third place with Smriti Mandhana. Marizanne Kapp has a 4 point gap, sitting on top with 203. Sitting at the top, a new leader: Fatima Sana.
