Magnificent Matthews
West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews continues to rack up Player of the Match Awards. I had tallied them up just prior to the home series against South Africa and then she added a few more, including Player of the Series in the T20 Internationals.
Since her debut in 2014, the dual international (Javelin, Barbados) Hayley has picked up 23 POTMs in T20 Internationals, which includes a streak of seven, along with 14 POTMs in ODIs.
She has a busted shoulder requiring surgery which will see her out of the game until 2026. Get well soon Hayley, the cricket world wants you to hurry back!
