Second Test 1989/90

New Zealand v Australia

Basin Reserve, Wellington: 26th – 29th January 1990

The second Test, at the Basin Reserve in Wellington was a replica of the first. Rain cut the Test short as had been the case in Auckland.

Lyn Larsen won the toss for Australia who plundered over 300 and New Zealand replied with 7/198.

Two Tests, both scheduled for four days, but both marred by rain. Australia had been dominant and apart from the first day of the first Test, had largely been untroubled by the Kiwis.

Australia 9 dec 325 (Hagget 70, Annetts 68, Harris 2-53) drew with New Zealand 7/198 (Turner 65*, Larsen 3-22)
