Born on 4th November 1998 in Bulawayo, is current ODI and T20 International player for Zimbabwe, Loryn Phiri.
Loryn is a promising off-break bowler still in the early days of her career. Early days for Zimbabwe too as the team has only recently played their first official ODI matches – it makes Loryn a pioneer for she played in the first. She only took one wicket in the three matches she played but it was a big one. She caught and bowled Ireland’s Gaby Lewis to end a 104 run partnership.
A longer career in T20 Internationals so far for Loryn, having played in 18 matches since her debut in 2018/19. She has taken 19 wickets at 8.57 with a best of 5-6 against Botswana in the ICC Africa World T20 Qualifiers in September 2021.
