Born 2nd January 1982 in Christchurch, Canterbury, former New Zealand Test, ODI and T20I player, Sarah Burke.
Sarah played in the very first T20 International, between England and New Zealand in 2004 when the White Ferns became the first international team to record a victory in the new format. In seven T20Is, Sarah took 7 wickets with a best of 3-15 and the impressive strike rate of 19.71.
After that T20 match in 2004, a Test debut against England. It was Sarah’s only Test, but she scored a run and took a wicket, which is more than most of us will ever do.
The ODI format was more Sarah’s domain where she played 36 matches, taking 25 wickets with a best of 3-17.Embed from Getty Images
