Welcome to today’s women’s international cricket update featuring overnight results, today’s matches, breaking news and a look back through history.
News in brief
- West Indies recovered after a stuttering start in the World Cup match against Scotland. Windies ended up with 153/6 with Stafanie Taylor‘s explosive finish giving her 47 not out. The game continues. UPDATE: West Indies win by 7 runs after a brave chase from the Scots.
- It’s Friday! Up for a quiz? How well do you know your international cricket grounds? Test yourself: Grounds for a Quiz.
- The stats on our World Cup page are starting to show some reasonable data.
- Plenty of action in Kigali for the Kwibuka tournament. Zimbabwe HP finished on top of the ladder to secure a spot in the final. Rwanda and Brazil sit in second and third place, separated only by NRR. Couldn’t separate them earlier either – they tied their match. With one match to be played between Rwanda and Nigeria, Rwanda can seal that second spot or even finish first if they win.
